This old printing technique has been revived in recent years. Letterpress is often used on birth announcements , wedding invitations and business cards .
Texts and images letterpress
With our old Heidelberg press we print letters, texts and drawings in thick paper or greyboard, on the back there is almost nothing visible. In the past, lead typefaces were used for this, but that is no longer necessary. We have the (polymer) cliché made digitally so that there is complete freedom in the image to be printed.
Letterpress in color
Often one colour of ink is chosen for the entire print, this enhances the artisanal look. Choose a colour from the Pantone range, here you will also find neon colours and metallic inks. Even without ink, letterpress gives a special effect!
Paper types for letterpress
Beautiful paper types that we use for letterpress are for example Old Mill and Gmund Cotton. We mainly use the 450 grams and 600 grams types, the paper is available in different shades and colors.
