Aanleverspecificaties ENG

Standard:
Please supply standard files as PDF with 3 mm bleed and crop marks. Texts must be converted to letter contours in advance.
Crop marks, colour blocks etc. in the PDF are not usable and not necessary.

Clichés:
For letterpress, embossing or foil printing we work with clichés, also called stamps.
Clichés are made of polymer, brass or magnesium, depending on the printing technique and the detailing. Text that has to be on a cliché must be converted to letter contours. Line drawings/logos that have to be on a cliché must be vector.

PMS printing:
Do you want to deliver a file with PMS colours ready for printing? In Adobe InDesign and Illustrator you can find the colour lists via ‘New colour sample’ >> ‘Colour mode’ >> ‘Pantone Solid Coated’ or ‘Pantone Solid Uncoated’. Save the PDF with profile ‘PDF/X-4:2008’.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions about supplying files. When it comes to a complicated die-cut or folding shape, we are also happy to explain by telephone what the ideal procedure is for us.

CMYK printing or print work
Do you want to deliver a file with CMYK colours ready for printing? Then select Coated FOGRA39  (ISO 12647-2:2004) for CMYK working space.

How?
In Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign you can set this by opening the program but keeping all files closed.
•Click on Edit (or Edit) at the top of the bar
•Click on Colour settings  (or Colour settings ) •Choose Coated FOGRA39 for CMYK working space.

Pantone has made changes to its color production in 2022. Inks have become “greener” by using vegetable-based inks and replacing hazardous pigments.

Some of the colours have changed (greatly) because of this, but the colour numbers have remained the same. For example, passing on a PMS number can result in a different colour of ink. It is therefore important that we know which fancustomers  use.
